Join Northwestern Medicine at the Genoa Public Library to learn about breast cancer risk factors, current screening guidelines, and what you can do to reduce your risk.
Understand how to make decisions after a diagnosis and find out your options for everything from clinical trials to reconstruction. Approximately 1 in 8 women (13%) will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
In this workshop you will learn:
➢ What breast cancer is
➢ Myths and facts about breast cancer
➢ Breast cancer risk factors
➢ What may impact those risk factors
➢ Current screening recommendations
This free in-person workshop is held in conjunction with Northwestern Medicine. It will be presented by Jennifer Kleckner, BSN, RN, LCCE, IBCLC. No registration is required.
